About Me

Hi! I’m Kayla Gayle, a student journalist at the University of Central Florida (UCF) pursuing a double major in Political Science at UCF. My passions for music and writing have inspired me to become an influential entertainment and lifestyle journalist who spotlights people of color. At UCF, my goal is to spotlight students on campus, each with their own notable achievements and ambitions. So far, my time at UCF has deepened my understanding of the principles and ethics of a journalist and the steps I should take to be successful. I am actively working on improving my skill set as a journalist while I report on campus events and students' achievements for NSM Today and Centric Magazine.

As a music writer for EnVi Media, I've written articles that cover a wide range of topics, including album breakdowns, artist interviews, and in-depth explorations of music culture. I've gained valuable experience and skillsets during my time with EnVi, and I hope to continue building my reputation and accessing more opportunities in the Entertainment Industry.
